  1. How long has the system been in the workplace?
    Approximately 12 months.
  2. How many units do you have?
    One unit.
  3. Is it used in classrooms/staffrooms or both?
    Staffroom.
  4. How many staff and students?
    Seven staff, Tuesday and Thursday fruit for Junior Room, Thursday from Senior room.
  5. How do we deal with waste when the buckets are full?
    Waste is placed into the compost bin.
  6. Is there any smell?
    There is a smell when the lid is removed to put in food scraps.
  7. Who is responsible for the maintenance (i.e. adding of Bokashi)?
    The Education Assistant who cuts up fruit for classrooms.
  8. How much Eco Bokashi do you go through per month/ year?
    Not including the school holidays we have gone through 6kgs.
  9. Issues encountered along the way and general comments?
    The Bokashi system is messy to empty. When emptying the contents into the compost bin, the tray at the bottom always falls in and has to be retrieved. The food at the bottom is usually broken down but the food more recently put in is not broken down as much.
